Patricia Preciado-Ramon

Patricia is a proud alumna of Edgewood ISD. She graduated from Memorial High School in 2001 and went on to earn her bachelor's and master's degree from UTSA. Patricia began her teaching career at Winston Elementary and later found her home at Cardenas ECC where she has been teaching Bilingual Pre-K for 12 years. Patricia says her reason for teaching is seeing the progress in her students every day. "For some students, Pre-K is their first experience transitioning from home to school and it can be hard. Throughout the year, I enjoy seeing them mature and start to enjoy class time. Before you know it, they're ready for Kindergarten." As for her title of Teacher of the Year, Patricia was surprised and honored she had been nominated. "I couldn't believe I had been nominated but I am so honored and thankful to my colleagues," she said. "I have a good rapport and can relate with my students and families. I really enjoy teaching in Edgewood ISD because this is my community. This is my home." ✨
